Last night I sat down and started going through every session from this year. I do the same thing every year where I look back through each image and critique my work. It’s the neurotic person in me. Tis true. Then I began compiling images for a slideshow as a recap of the year but for some reason I decided against it. Instead I opted to share my top 20 favorites. They run the gamut from family sessions to newborns. For one reason or another these strike me in a certain way. Sometimes I can’t even explain what it is I love about the image, it just grabs me. As a a little extra something, I’ve decided to turn this into a contest. The image with the most votes (by Friday, 1/3/14) will receive that picture as an 8×10.

Since color is my thing, I vote for #17. I love the blurred but colorful images in the background. The clear images in the foreground are accentuated by the contrasting complexions of the two sisters and the effervescent smile on their faces.
