Thatcher Family | Atlanta Family Photography

Planning to coordinate your family for a photo session can be stressful.  I’ve been there. I’ve done that.  No matter how many times you’ve been through it, somehow it never gets easier. Going into a session I do everything in my power to make families relax and realize that for once, they get to be themselves with those they love more than anything on this Earth.  Sometimes that involves me talking incessantly. Sometimes it involves joking about tripping over my own two feet (or more likely my camera bag). Sometimes it involves horses..beautiful, majestic horses.  And sometimes, just sometimes, it involves sitting on a blanket, cozying up with your family and forgetting I’m even there. Because that’s when I get to see you. The real, beautiful, incredibly happy you.  It’s when I get to see how your children adore each other.  How your children adore you.  How they feel safe in your arms. And how they feel close to you.

So while the day leading up to your session can be stressful, just remember, the clothes aren’t going to make your photos perfect.  It’s how you show how much you love one another that will.family posing on blanket dad holding sonlittle girl waving at horsemom smiling at baby girlhorse grazing in the grassbrothers huggingone year old girl smiling happy mom and baby smiling at daddyfamily posing for summer family photo sessionlittle boy sitting on mom's lap for photoslittle girl singingfamily photo session collagebaby girl flying in her mom's armslittle girl balancing on one footdad and sons being sillydad kissing baby girl

Hello Friends

Welcome to Katie Oblinger Photography!

This is where you will find happiness, candid moments, real, unabashed love, genuine people and the occasional photo of my child.  This is where you can come to enjoy the moments families share.  The moments of pure joy.  The moments I hope you'll soon create for yourself. I'm so glad you are here.
