Here’s a sweet family from this past fall that I’m so happy to finally share! This session was a long time coming. Mom, Kerry, and I worked for longer than we both care to admit to make this session happen. Let’s just say that several seasons changed during the time we had initial contact to the time these photos were taken. BUT it finally happened! And I’m so glad it did because the Lozanos were such a blast to photograph. Seriously, from the moment I started photographing Josephine and Ryan I knew this wouldn’t be a run of the mill family session. Josephine and Ryan were ready to have fun! The shot above of the two of them playing airplanes was taken within the first 10 frames. That my friends is what I call outstanding. These two just went with it and had no trouble being themselves. They weren’t shy or self-conscious, instead they were free-spirited and silly and I adored every second of it. And let’s get real, Josephine is a total ham. One look at the back of my camera and I’m fairly certain she was hooked. All I have to say to that is, Ham it up little one!
Thank you Lozanos for such a fun-filled, energetic morning!

I was at a networking event, and someone asked about a 135mm so I brought up your site to show them how it looks. And to quote this person, “See, I can never do that. I don’t know how to meet a family and get THAT out of them. It’s so real, and so much more special than a portrait.”
Reason 510 why you are my favorite photographer friend.
