Last month  I was so incredibly lucky to collaborate with Lesley Graham, an amazing and talented Atlanta blogger who has design skills I only dream about. She was invited to be a part of the Home Depot Style Challenge and kindly asked if I would photograph the final product.  Let’s just say that Lesley and her husband, Sam, do not mess around.  Not only did they build…yes, BUILD a pergola, they incorporated a swing into the plans as well.  And no, I’m not talking about a porch swing.  I’m talking about a super kid friendly swing absolutely perfect for her two precious little girls. So while we photographed the beautiful patio that Lesley designed, I think I had as much fun just hanging out and getting to know this sweet family of four.  I walked into their home wielding my camera and within minutes was picking up styling tips from Lesley, talking camera bags with Sam, and having Matilda pose for a few non-patio shots.  And after the styled part of the shoot was done, I had the family sit down for a few photos because I couldn’t leave there without at least one family shot. 

I’m obsessed and I do mean obsessed with the final outcome.  I’m trying to figure out how to incorporate some of the details into my own backyard! Lesley has an eye for all things beautiful and the ability to create a gorgeous and inviting space.  I know they will enjoy this patio for so many years. And I may invite myself over just to sit at the potting table right outside her kitchen window.  (Trust me, that potting table is to die for.)
