When it comes to blogging, I tend to repeat myself. I speak ad naseum about “connection”, “moments”, “freezing time”. But guess what? That’s exactly what family photography is about. I’ve spent the last few months convincing myself that blogging family sessions or posting to Instagram didn’t feel right. Not when there are so many incredibly serious things occurring. Posting felt frivilous. But I had a conversation with my sister one night and she reminded me that we need happiness. We need joy. We need glimmers of the good that still surrounds us. I hate to admit that it’s taken me weeks to sit down to my computer and start writing blog posts. But she was right. When I look at every single one of these photos, I smile. Because I do see the connection. I do see the moments. And more than anything, all I want to do is freeze time for you. So that when life gets heavy, you can open up that photo album and lose yourself. You can stand in front of that framed family photo you have hanging on your wall and smile because you remember how it felt to snuggle with your sweet girl. So yes I do tend to repeat myself. And I’m okay with that. Because all of these cliches are so true. The only thing I care about is showing you just how much love you guys share with me. Just look at these photos. Ahh. Every one of them makes me smile. So thank you! Thank you for your connection, your moments, and for allowing me to freeze time for you.
