It’s truly been a hectic past few weeks and the next month and a half don’t plan on letting up anytime soon. So looking at these photos of Harrison and John truly make me smile. Anyone who knows me has figured out that my mission of each session is to walk away knowing I caught a glimpse of true happiness in the child. And let’s be real, sometimes catching those smiles is not easy. In this case, smiles were handed to me on a silver platter. The Millers just get it. They are relaxed, happy, and ready to be themselves, which, if I’m being honest, is exactly how a family should be. No pressure, no stress, just happy people.
I photographed Harrison when he was brand new. A tiny little newborn so fragile and sweet. And now he’s a full on baby with chunky legs, bright eyes, and a beaming smile! Harrison’s mom and I follow each other on Instagram so I’ve been able to keep up with this growing boy for the past few months. It was no surprise how cute he was or how much he really has stayed the same. And that little face is just is adorable as it was when he was new.
Big brother John is so incredibly loving of his little brother and seeing these two together was pretty fantastic. I have no doubt that by the time Harrison can walk, John will be teaching him how to kick a football so they can be just like their daddy.
Getting to document these little boys really is what my photography business is all about. Capturing these fleeting moments and being able to share them with their parents makes me beyond happy.
Oh! I love brothers and I love what you said about capturing the essence of who your clients are….and happiness in a child. You captured brotherhood perfectly-it’s so fun to see that the bond starts so young!
My favorite thing about these photos, Katie, is that you were really able to tell how excited John is to be a big brother. And that’s just the sweetest thing EVER!
I love the smiles on these two little boys. You did a great job of capturing the moment to moment joy of this loving family.
