They say if you put things out into the universe, you’ll get it all back.

Well, I’m putting it out there that I seriously love photographing kids. This photo series has been one of those random, fall into it backwards opportunities. When you have kids you photograph them. And you photograph them a lot. It just so happens that I took a few photos of my then 5 year old son and really loved what we had created. In turn that’s given me the opportunity to photograph 70+ more kids over these last 3 years. Every time I get to work with one of my “The Face of Childhood” kids, I’m reminded just how amazing being a kid is. They get to be little. And innocent. And silly. They get to be wise and they get to be strong. At what other point in life do you ever truly inhabit or exhibit all of those qualities at the same time?

Yep. It’s childhood. And it’s remarkable.
