As the cold month of January sets in I am so excited to catch you up on all of the sweet faces I worked with this past fall. I want to tell you how much I love this family, because I do, but I don’t think that would be enough. This mom and I have been friends for what feels like an eternity, but in reality, just a decade. We both are always so excited to see each other that when we do catch up, we have so much to talk about that we never actually finish a story. She’s a mom to everyone she meets and it’s the sweetest, most adorable trait about her. And spending this rather warm fall day together just wasn’t enough time to see these faces. Then again, it never is.
We set out to update their family photos, but left with some of the moments you’ll see below. Not posed or staged because that is neither of our styles. I was there to watch their moments all unfold and to be there to document them. You can’t stage true happiness. It just happens. And isn’t that so much better?
Soon this family of three will be a family of four. And I know this beautiful boy will be an amazing big brother. He’ll teach her how to sword fight, how to love the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and how to read all of his favorite books. Natalie will teach her how to be crazy strong, hilariously funny, and shop for a room full of shoes and bags. Nat, you know it’s true. And Jon, you are going to be wrapped around her finger and I know you are going to be so in love with her!
Love you guys.
