This session epitomizes everything I adore about photographing children. One minute you might have a slew of happy campers…but the next it could be a wild and crazy free for all. Tongues sticking out, silly faces being made, but everything is real. I sent this family’s gallery out the other day and I absolutely beamed at the mom’s response. For her it was all about capturing her babies at this moment…in each of their “phases”… because they grow up so quickly. And that’s exactly it. We blink and our babies aren’t little anymore. They’re full fledged toddlers…or kids..or teens. They only stay tiny for a finite amount of time and stopping the clock, even if only for an afternoon, is something we owe ourselves (and our kids). Just think of the laughs and smiles they’ll get years from now when they get to see themselves making their funny faces. So worth it. M family – love you guys!!
