I feel like over the past few years I’ve become more of a children’s photographer…kids, babies, just little ones in general. So being able to photograph pre-teenage kids is something I honestly enjoy doing. My session with the Payne family is extra special because they aren’t just my neighbors, these guys are friends. Karen is hands down the most amazing mom I’ve ever met and I joke repeatedly that I’m going to send my son, Camden, to live with her during the summers. If Camden ends up half as kind, caring, and intelligent as Jeremy and Amelia, I would be one very lucky parent.
These images are some of my favorites from our session. Seeing how much sweet Amelia has come out of her shell since the first time I photographed her makes me smile. And Jeremy, what can I say about him? He’s one of the smartest, dearest, kindest people I’ve ever met. Karen, you have a truly special family.
