If you’re lucky, one of the greatest perks of being a family photographer is that you are in essence actually becoming a family’s documentarian. I have been documenting the M family since their son was 1 month old.  And every September, like clockwork, I get the amazing opportunity to photograph and capture their sweet family again and again.  Watching Troy grow up in front of my camera is one of the greatest perks to this job.  Who else gets to keep record of a child as he/she grows up?  First teeth. First steps.  First missing teeth.  It’s beautiful and wonderful.  And without even realizing it, you know these people and how hard they love each other.  That right there is worth its weight in gold. And why I look forward to September every year.
