So, what are you guys up to these days?

Anything new? Fun? Exciting?

It’s like we’re living a real life version of Groundhog Day. Except we’re not in Punxsutawny and there is no groundhog. Instead it’s the same thing every day. Get up, do a fill in the blank activity, entertain your kids, keep entertaining your kids, then entertain them a little more, make dinner, put kids to bed, go to sleep. Wash, rinse, repeat.

But through all of this, there has been the occasional family session. And it’s like waking up on February 3rd! It feels like a whole new world has shown itself. Where butterflies are flitting around and unicorns are dancing. It’s full of confetti and stars and puffy rainbows and big smiley hearts. Seeing people (from a distance) with real clothes on, not just tattered shorts and t-shirts, wearing smiles and hair bows, make up and watches is the most glorious and life affirming thing that has happened in the time of Covid.

Thank you to the families for breathing new life into my days and giving me all the sweet smiles and loving moments I could ask for.
