Like Polaroids, Instagram has its place in the world of photography. While the idea of instagram photos can be seen as silly and trendy, I actually really enjoy it. For me it’s a change of pace from my usual camera. It allows me to photograph differently…a little more uninhibited…and little more quirky. But what I love most about it, is the fact that because it’s an app, it’s on my phone and I can carry it with me everywhere. From a plane to the doctor’s office. And I can capture my son in so many varying locations without lugging around my big boy camera.
And while these may not be as great of quality as my normal shots, these still hold a place in my heart. So the next time you get the urge to photograph your kids running wildly through the grocery store, pick up your phone and click away. I promise you won’t regret it.
