Oh how I love the Sessions family. Mom, Meg, and I have known each other for longer than I care to admit. We both started in advertising about the same time a million years ago and have worked alongside each other in some fashion ever since. And then one day she decided to take a step away from the world of cubicles to spend her days with her beautiful children. In all honesty, seeing her outside of the business I know for certain that being a mom was the job she was meant to have.
We started talking about doing photos of her family last fall and finally made it happen on the first nice (by nice I mean warm) day of the year. It was nothing short of a blast. And after it was all said and done I was ready to leave the cold, winter months behind, and dive head first into spring.
Here are a few of my favorites from our afternoon together. These were all taken in the family’s backyard and now I’m highly contemplating asking her to let me do other sessions at her house. There are so many things I love about these moments…Rosemary’s silly smiles, Charlie’s brand new cleats, and Weslyn’s ability to put up with my antics while doting on her little brother and sister.
Kevin and Meg have such a beautiful family and being able to photograph them in their element was absolutely perfect. Thank you so much for having me Sessions family! xo.
