Thank you all for voting last week. To say I was overwhelmed by the response is slightly an understatement. To see how you all supported your friends or just shared your love for each image was wonderful and I’m so happy to say that #8, Miss Corrin, was the winner. And if you’re wondering what I found so special about this image it was the calmness of the moment. Corrin is an energetic little girl with endless smiles and personality. Normally when photographing kids her age I have to make kids open up. Not Corrin. She loves the camera and adores working it! Just visit the highlights from her session to see exactly what I’m talking about. Getting that one quiet and still shot was a goal for me and this was that exact moment.
But there’s more…So sometimes it happens. I look back through sessions and see something I love about a picture and I realize that there’s no way I can narrow my favorites down to 20. I have so many more. After I posted the top 20 favorites the other day I wanted to kick myself for not including one image or another. Because going back through all of my sessions from 2013 I see something wonderful in each and every image. It could be the way a little boy kisses his newborn brother or the way two sisters embrace each other. or it could just be a feeling. So to rectify this error of epic proportions(!) I’m going to share more of my favorites. And I’m also going to open the floor up to voting…again. Last week the enthusiasm was amazing! You guys came out in droves to support your friends and families. The comments were adorable and kind and so very sweet. So to continue the love I want to offer up another 8×10 to the next winner!
Let the fun begin! (Voting will end Friday, 1/10.)
Next year, I’m going to avoid this mistake and just overwhelm you with a thousand pictures so I won’t leave any out. ♥
