Sometimes I just don’t have the words to express how much I love my families or how much I want them to remember these tiny moments forever.  Because sometimes my words aren’t enough when trying to describe a picture.  After all, isn’t a picture worth a thousand words?

When you’re photographing families, each image speaks volumes.  An image speaks to the love moms have for their babies.  For the love those children have for their parents.  And for the love those children have for each other.  An image tells a story of a time and a place.  And it’s the most beautiful time capsule one could hope for.

Once I had my son the way I viewed family photography completely changed.  It morphed into this emotional rollercoaster of feelings.  Because I was suddenly able to feel what these parents felt seeing their kids at this age, in this time.  And 5 and a half years later, honestly, it means so much more. These precious little beings will only be this age for so long so we have to do everything we can to remember these moments:  the chaotic, the kind, the tough, the heartwarming, the loving moments… because they are everything.

To my dear B Family, I hope these images are their everything.
